Nomenclatural History	The species Kitasatospora cochleata was originally described and validly published by Zhang et al. 1997. Upon validation, this name was corrected from Kitasatosporia cochleata (sic) to Kitasatospora cochleata . Zhang et al. formed this name in 1997 by placing the species Streptomyces cochleatus Nakagaito et al. 1993 into the genus Streptomyces Waksman and Henrici 1943 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Idris et al. 2017.
