Nomenclatural History
The species Microtetraspora flexuosa was originally described by Kroppenstedt et al. 1990. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 36 in 1991. Kroppenstedt et al. formed this name in 1990 by placing the species (ex Krasil'nikov and Agre 1964) Meyer 1989 into the genus Thiemann et al. 1968 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Zhang et al. 1998. In 1998, Zhang et al. established as the basonym of corrig. (Meyer 1989) Zhang et al. 1998 .
