Nomenclatural History
This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 31 in 1989. The species Actinomadura flexuosa was originally described by Krasil'nikov and Agre 1964. It pre-dated the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names but was excluded from those lists. In 1989 the name was revived by Meyer. In 1990, Kroppenstedt et al. established as the basonym of (Meyer 1989) Kroppenstedt et al. 1991 .
