Nomenclatural History	The species Flavobacterium hydatis was originally described and validly published by Bernardet et al. 1996. Hahnke et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. Bernardet et al. formed this name in 1996 by placing the species Cytophaga aquatilis Strohl and Tait 1978 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Flavobacterium Bergey et al. 1923 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Dong et al. 2013.
