Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Spirosoma was originally proposed by Migula 1894. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Finster et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2009. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Ahn et al. in 2014.
