Nomenclatural History
The genus Streptobacillus was originally proposed by Levaditi et al. 1925. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Wittler and Cary published an emended description of this genus in 1974. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Woo et al. in 2014, Eisenberg et al. in 2015 and Eisenberg et al. in 2015.
