The species Tsukamurella pseudospumae was originally described and validly published by Nam et al. 2004. Teng et al. published an emended description of this species in 2016. Teng et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Seong et al. 2008 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2016.
