Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Azomonotrichon was originally proposed by Thompson and Skerman 1979. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 6 in 1981. New and Tchan established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Azomonas Winogradsky 1938 emend. Johnstone 1974 (Approved Lists 1980)
in 1982.
