Nomenclatural History
The species Leeuwenhoekiella marinoflava was originally described and validly published by Nedashkovskaya et al. 2005. Nedashkovskaya et al. published an emended description of this species in 2014. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Tahon et al. in 2020. Nedashkovskaya et al. formed this name in 2005 by placing the species (ex Colwell et al. 1966) Reichenbach 1989 into the genus Nedashkovskaya et al. 2005 emend. Tahon et al. 2020.
