Nomenclatural History
The genus Leeuwenhoekiella was originally proposed and validly published by Nedashkovskaya et al. 2005. Nedashkovskaya et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2014. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Tahon et al. in 2020.
