Proper Form
| Bacillus malacitensis Ruiz-García et al. 2005 |
Nomenclatural History
|
The species Bacillus malacitensis was originally described and validly published by Ruiz-García et al. 2005. Dunlap et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Bacillus axarquiensis Ruiz-García et al. 2005 emend. Dunlap et al. 2016
in 2016. Dunlap et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Brevibacterium halotolerans Delaporte and Sasson 1967 (Approved Lists 1980)
in 2016.
Dunlap et al. 2016 asserts that Bacillus malacitensis is not a heterotypic synonym of Bacillus mojavensis. This opinion disagrees with that of Wang et al. 2007.
