Nomenclatural History
The species Terrimonas ferruginea was originally described and validly published by Xie and Yokota 2006. Jin et al. published an emended description of this species in 2013. Xie and Yokota formed this name in 2006 by placing the species Sickles and Shaw 1934 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Xie and Yokota 2006 emend. Jin et al. 2013.
