Nomenclatural History	The species Chitinophaga filiformis was originally described and validly published by Kämpfer et al. 2006. Kämpfer et al. formed this name in 2006 by placing the species Flexibacter filiformis (ex Solntseva 1940) Reichenbach 1989 into the genus Chitinophaga Sangkhobol and Skerman 1981 emend. Kämpfer et al. 2011.
