Nomenclatural History
The species Xanthomonas cynarae was originally described and validly published by Trébaol et al. 2000. Timilsina et al. published an emended description of this species in 2019. Young et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (ex Šutič 1957) Jones et al. 2006 in 2008. Morinière et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Vauterin et al. 1995 emend. Morinière et al. 2020 in 2020.
