Nomenclatural History	The subspecies Clavibacter michiganense insidiosum was originally described and validly published by Davis et al. 1984. Zgurskaya et al. corrected this name from Clavibacter michiganense insidiosum (sic) to Clavibacter michiganensis insidiosus . Davis et al. formed this name in 1984 by placing the subspecies Corynebacterium michiganense insidiosum (McCulloch 1925) Carlson and Vidaver 1982 into the species Clavibacter michiganense (sic) (Smith 1910) Davis et al. 1984 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018Clavibacter michiganensis corrig. (Smith 1910) Davis et al. 1984 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018. Li et al. elevated this subspecies to the rank of species to form the name Clavibacter insidiosus (McCulloch 1925) Li et al. 2019 in 2018.
