Nomenclatural History
The genus Amycolatopsis was originally proposed and validly published by Lechevalier et al. 1986. Lee published an emended description of this genus in 2009. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Tang et al. in 2010 and Nouioui et al. in 2018. Nouioui et al. transferred the members of Mao et al. 2011 into this genus in 2018.
