This is a proprietary strain of the Diversa Corporation (merged with Celunol to become Verenium Corporation in February 2007, now part of BASF). The genome has been sequenced, but is not yet available to the public, however; some researchers do have access to the data. This strain is a derivative of S. venezuelae engineered for enhanced secondary metabolism.
