Nomenclatural History
The species Lactobacillus selangorensis was originally described and validly published by Haakensen et al. 2011. Haakensen et al. formed this name in 2011 by placing the species Leisner et al. 2000 non Paralactobacillus selangorensis Zheng et al. 2020 into the genus Beijerinck 1901 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Zheng et al. 2020. In 2020, Zheng et al. established as the basonym of (Leisner et al. 2000) Zheng et al. 2020 non Paralactobacillus selangorensis Leisner et al. 2000 .
