Nomenclatural History
The species Cupidesulfovibrio oxamicus was originally described and validly published by Wan et al. 2021. established as a later homotypic synonym of (Postgate and Campbell 1966) Waite et al. 2020 in 2015. Wan et al. formed this name in 2021 by placing the species (Postgate and Campbell 1966) López-Cortés et al. 2006 into the genus Wan et al. 2021.
