Nomenclatural History
The species Sinirhodobacter enshiensis was originally described by Liang et al. 2021. Liang et al. formed this name in 2021 by placing the species Wang et al. 2014 into the genus (sic) Yang et al. 2018 emend. Liang et al. 2021 corrig. Yang et al. 2018 emend. Liang et al. 2021.

This new combination by Liang et al. 2021 would remove the type species of Paenirhodobacter. This results in a unification of the genus Paenirhodobacter into Sinirhodobacter. This cannot happen since the genus Paenirhodobacter Wang et al. 2014 has priority over Sinirhodobacter corrig. Yang et al. 2018. This new combination is therefore illegitimate.
