Nomenclatural History
|
The species Tannerella forsythensis was originally described and validly published by Sakamoto et al. 2002. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 85 in 2008. Judicial Commision of the International Committee on Systematics of Prokaryotes corrected this name from Tannerella forsythensis (sic) to Tannerella forsythia . Sakamoto et al. formed this name in 2002 by placing the species
Bacteroides forsythus Tanner et al. 1986
into the genus Tannerella Sakamoto et al. 2002 emend. Ansbro et al. 2020.
