Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Leptospira was originally proposed by Noguchi 1917. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Turner published an emended description of this genus in 1974. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Faine and Stallman in 1982.
